Donny Burger #8 Cannabis Cultivar (Strain) Review

The Donny Burger has dazzling bag appeal. It’s characterized by gnarly little nugs with jagged leaves, serpentine red-orange pistils, and an overall jutting bud structure. The coloration is mostly mint green with some darker green and purple leafage. The trichomes give the buds an encrusted appearance with long, pervasive stalks. The undersides and insides of some nugs reveal a gorgeous gradient of lavender, lilac, and violet.

The nose on the Donny Burger is impressive. In essence, it has a garlic-oniony profile that relishes in a heavy dose of earthy, seasoned funk. It also has the gym sock, and halitosis dirtiness that comes with the lineage, but it is balanced out with a tiny drop of sweetness that keeps it aromatic and alluring. It’s not a sweet strain though, this cultivar is all gas. Breaking down the buds releases a spiced fuel and leaves an earthy garlic onion scent on the fingers.

The flavor of the Donny Burger is spectacular. It translates well from the nose, meaning it has a garlic, oniony forward that is heinous and offensive in the very best way. It has an exceptionally savory, almost greasy, attribute to it that makes the Donny Burger name feel authentic. It’s an electrifying balance of obnoxious and compelling flavors that makes me crave scrumptious food after smoking. The taste just gets more gassy and piquant as the strain burns down.

The Donny Burger has an astonishing high on it. I perceived a noticeable headband feeling and head heaviness after just one cone. It creates a palpable body heaviness and an overall feeling of euphoria. The buds appear dense but are fluffy, dry, and not sticky when broken up by hand. It produces a substantial amount of kief with large granules when ground up.

All in all, the Donny Burger is phenomenal. It checks all of the boxes, but it also exemplifies what I want out of a GMO strain. The cultivar takes the available features of both parents and creates something better than the sum of its parts. I would highly recommend checking it out if you’re a fan of GMO strains.
